Brands Hatch November 2006

Awesome.. one of the best (if not THE best) track day i've ever done!

The CSL is just an awesome car, on the limit, in the twisties.. etc.. Loved every minute of it..

Got gradually faster all day long as i learned the circuit (thanks Andy!) and generally felt totally at one with car and circuit.. never been in the zone like that before.

Highlights of the day ?

1. Passing a GT3 RS who really wasn't very happy about it and had acted like a mobile chicane for 2 laps.

2. Pulling away from another GT3 RS in the bends, and have him close the gap a bit on the straight..(still several car lengths back) (this guy was pedalling a lot better than the first one)

3. Thinking youre going fast only for a 993 GT2 in full Gulf Race Livery to pass you like you're standing still .. nice dose of humble pie just when required.

So.. Porsche 1 CSL 2. The GT3RS's were the same two guys who earlier in the day had driven extremely aggressively when I was out on my first sighting lap and in my opinion had passed at inappropriate places without me indicating.

Now have a new favourite circuit !!
